Regretta Regatta

The SCOO Annual Regretta Regatta is currently scheduled for Thursday, 17 September 2020 out in the Neuse River near Oriental.  The Regretta Regatta is open to all sailors in the area regardless of whether you are a member of SCOO or any one of the local sailing clubs.  For the Regretta, emphasis is on having fun and bending the the gun - perfectly understandable

- You might lose track of how much time is left to the starting gun and accidentally cross a minute or two ahead of some of the other boats.  Perfectly understandable - there's so much to keep track of before a race, plus you certainly don't want to run a foul of any of the more aggressive sailors in the race..

- You might forget to take your engine out of gear or turn it off - perfectly understandable if you're trying to keep up with one of the "hot shot" ODC guys or gals...

- You might find the race course is way too long and you "accidentally" skip one of the marks.  Perfectly understandable if you're getting thirsty and hungry and want to be first in line at the picnic.
