Cruise to South River – Southwest Creek

Wednesday, April 8^th – Thursday, April 9^th

     South River – Southwest Creek.  South Creek is approximately 6 nm’s south from South River’s entrance and is a wonderful secluded anchorage with room for all our boats.

     It’s time to put away the snow shovels and get our boats ready for the season.

     Come and join us for some fun and friendship on the water.  Dave and Sarah Holt will be anchored up on s/v Carolina (white mono-haul Pearson 33-2 with white sails, tan canvas and navy sail pack, and flying American and North Carolina flags and of course a SCOO burgee)  by 1400 hours (2 PM) and will monitor VHF channel 68.  Get some sailing in on the Neuse to clean out some rust while on your way.

    We can all get together for a pot luck and happy hour at 1700 hours (5 PM) on a boat to be determined.  The Holts will provide paper plates, cups and napkins.  Bring a dish to share and whatever you want to drink. 

    A vessel and equipment checklist will be provided for each boat to review and make sure everything is up to date.

    There will be a baby boomer team trivia contest during happy hour and each boat will be provided with a baby boomer crossword puzzle to complete on your own.
