Announcing a "Reprised Get the Cobwebs Out Cruise" to South River – Southwest Creek

Wednesday, May 27, 2026 – Thursday, May 28, 2026

Weather precluded us from holding this cruise in early April, so Dave has offered to lead the cruise in May. The cruise will be to the South River – Southwest Creek. Southwest Creek is approximately 6 nm south of South River’s entrance and is a wonderful, secluded anchorage with room for all our boats.

Come and join us for some fun and friendship on the water. Dave will be anchored up on s/v Carolina (white mono-haul Pearson 33-2 with white sails, tan canvas, and a navy sail pack, and flying an American flag at the stern and a SCOO burgee on the flag halyard) by 1400 hours (2PM) and will monitor VHF channel 68.

We can all get together for a potluck and happy hour at 1700 hours
(5 PM) on a boat to be determined. The Holts will provide paper plates, cups, and napkins. Bring a dish to share and whatever you want to drink. A vessel and equipment checklist will be provided for each boat to review and make sure everything is up to date.

There will be a baby boomer team trivia contest during happy hour, and each boat will be provided with a baby boomer crossword puzzle to complete on your own.
